1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Monkey Block browser extension ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Monkey Block. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

Monkey Block is a browser extension designed to help users manage their time on distracting websites through features including:

• Visual timers for website usage
• Website blocking and time limits
• Impulse checks before accessing distracting sites
• Usage statistics and analytics
• Content filtering (Monkey Shield)
• Pro account features (optional)

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of the Service, you agree to:

• Use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Not violate any laws in your jurisdiction while using the Service
• Not interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
• Not introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code into the Service

4. Account Registration (Pro Users)

For Pro features that require account registration:

• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

5. Pro Subscription Terms

Monkey Block offers optional Pro features through a paid subscription. The following terms apply to Pro subscriptions:

• Payment Processing: Pro subscriptions are processed through Polar (polar.sh), our third-party payment provider. Billing information is handled directly by Polar and is not stored by Monkey Block.
• Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed according to the plan you select (monthly or annually) and automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please contact support@monkey-block.com within 14 days of purchase to request a refund.
• Price Changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any price changes affecting their subscription.
• Feature Availability: Pro features are provided on an ongoing basis. We may add, modify, or discontinue specific Pro features over time.

6. Privacy and Data Collection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

• We do not sell your personal data

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Monkey Block and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Modify, copy, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service
• Remove any copyright notices from the Service
• Use the Service in a way that infringes on our intellectual property rights

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Monkey Block shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses
• Any damage resulting from your use or inability to use the Service
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or personal information

This limitation applies whether the liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Reliability or availability
• Accuracy of information

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms
• Suspicious or fraudulent activity
• Extended periods of inactivity
• Changes to the Service that make it no longer viable

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of your jurisdiction.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Monkey Block from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms on our website
• Sending an email notification (for Pro users with registered accounts)
• Displaying a notice within the extension

Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Monkey Block regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
